Climate Change v Starr Gate Tram Depot

No Entry. Blackpool's working tram depot sited on the very edge of the shoreline at Starr Gate may well become threatened through rising sea levels and coastal flooding in the years ahead. A questionable decision at best still awaiting a probably unsatisfactory outcome. The original intended site on Blundell Street is no longer available having been sold off for more inevitable 'housing' by Blackpool Council. Point work leading off the promenade track to Princess Street single line remains as testimony to this mismatched planning (and wasted public investment).
