Balloon 247 Is Coming Home

Preparatory work began at Wyre Dock today clearing the undergrowth around Balloon car 710 aka 247. A team of volunteers from TramTown armed with sharpened spades and varied instruments of torture under the guidance of Paul Greenwood set to work to create a pathway for the tram to be retrieved and loaded on to a special rig from that expert tram moving group in Derbyshire. The date for loading has still to be confirmed but thankfully imminent.
