The early 1960s were the most interesting years for followers of Blackpool's transport scene. These two images are courtesy of Colin MacLeod who provided many memorable photos of the Marton tram route before its demise in 1962. However these are taken along the promenade line with Tramnik One in its original condition sans advertising, pursued in close proximity by 166 in its television filming guise at North Pier.

While a tour on a Standard car captures it crossing through the roundabout in Cleveleys amid a representative menage of British built cars on all sides. Thornton Cleveleys in those years was welcoming its visitors.
