Seeing Double
Blackpool's Trident / East Lancashire style buses are still with us to add colour if not charm to the town's bus scene in 2019. Two of the former fleet are cascaded down to BTS Driver Training duties complete with the now standard Palladium branding, whilst others have been sold to dealers over the past two years. It is therefore quite remarkable that one example has suddenly surfaced on the promenade this week in totally different colours but retaining that familiar Trident style look. Former BTS 353 acquired from the Isle of Man company Bus Vannin in 2012 as part of a batch of similar vehicles transferred over to Blackpool. Now in its third operating ownership with Catch22Bus and showing off the striking colours of this Fylde coast company on its first day in service.
