Box 40 Last Hurrah 2019 (in Blackpool)

Definitely showing its paces for a 105 year old Box 40 is a regular performer on the promenade shuttle service operated as Blackpool Heritage Tours during the final 3 weeks of its long sojourn in the town. Expected to leave on March 4th for a short excursion to the Beamish Museum, the tram will then return finally to the tram museum at Crich.

Friends of Forty - a group established in the last century! are organising their final Annual Tour to assure supporters of a convivial journey to Fleetwood. This will take place on March 1st and includes a buffet lunch at the traditional North Euston venue.

Interested enthusiasts might wish to reserve their place by contacting Steve Palmer at his Fleetwood address with tickets (including buffet) at £16.50 pp. Below : Box 40 in its traditional abode at the former Blackpool & Fleetwood Tramroad Depot at Bispham on the tour of 1961 showing a politically incorrect destination.

Fast forward 58 years to February 19th 2019.
