An intruder nabbed at Wyre Dock

An early morning call alerted the author to an intruder had been spotted among the Trust's trams at Wyre Dock. Alert workers on the neighbouring fish trader premises ensured that the intruder was contained in the Trust's premises - fenced in with gates locked.

Quick attention by Matt Lodge and John Woodman resulted in an arresting officer arriving by lunch time. Despite an attempt to escape through forcing the fence posts an arrest was made promptly and the intruder transferred to a secure cell in the special transport vehicle.

The intruder in custody. A damaged wing on the swan prevented flight.
