WHAT A GREAT DAY FOR A CAR SHOW

The annual Cleveleys Car Show was again blessed with glorious weather today for its ever expanding and crowd pulling event. Stretching along the main shopping street up to and then along the revitalised sea front - was an eclectic menage of cars of all shapes, sizes and marques - domestic and foreign.

Where could you find the exotic? shape of a Ford Anglia alongside TVRs and American classics - in row upon row of organised club themed displays as well as varied individual entries from the newest models to rare classics. Crowds thronged the entire length of this now major Fylde coast event, eclipsing the Totally Transport venue on South Promenade - and infinitely more vehicles than the former lead transport event in Fleetwood. Not a bus, coach or tram in sight - but for auto enthusiasts of all ages, the Cleveleys CarShow has become a must visit venue on their calendar - with ever more club participation and sponsorship.

Crowds descended on the town to see endless displays stretching out almost to the waters edge - taking up more of the sea front each successive year.

Diverse artists but no loud blaring bands - gave a festival atmosphere. Food stands were well spaced with a thankful absence of second hand bric a brac stalls and non auto stands. A well managed transport event and now all-important day in Cleveley's summer calendar.

Well done Cleveleys & Organisers.

For the record we arrived by bus and left by tram !

A glorious day by the seaside for thousands at Cleveleys - plus the cars !
