ABOUT THE FLEETWOOD HERITAGE LEISURE TRUST
We are a registered charity - registration no. 1145250.
Our remit is to conserve for display, trams and artefacts of the longstanding coastal tramway serving Blackpool, Thornton Cleveleys and Fleetwood and its heritage.
The Trust's support comes from private individuals with interest in this subject; as well as private companies on the Fylde coast who see the importance of these objects and their social value.
These initiatives are for a wider public benefit, whilst strengthening the Fylde Coast leisure attractions - examples of our current work are depicted on this site.
In 2017 the Trust is focussing its efforts in progressing and supporting a ambitious proposal involving the regeneration of Wyre Dock, Fleetwood. This major project will allow the Trust's trams both to be displayed to the public as well as providing an opportunity to ride the trams along a purpose built line.
The FHLT have a working relationship with the Blackpool Heritage Transport team at Rigby Road but are independent of any enthusiasts.
